I've put a poll up on the right of the blog with some choices for what book I should read next. I must add that the reason they are all fantasy (except Law of Nines) is simply because I want to read at least one more of these this year before I switch back to reading predominantly sci-fi in 2010. More on that in another post...
So, here's what is on offer:
Escape From Byzantium by Mark Mellon
Servant of a Dark God by John Brown
Dragon Keeper by Robin Hobb
Nights of Villjamur by Mark Charan Newton
The Law of Nines by Terry Goodkind
Vote on the right, but let me know what you think in the comments :)
"Princeps" by L.E. Modesitt (Reviewed by Liviu Suciu)

I have read Nights of Villjamur and it is very, very good. Next one in series not out till June :(
Highly recommended read!
Would also like to read Servant of a Dark God as it looks exciting, so that would be my second choice
Escape from Byzantium is not fantasy, but alt-hist sf though it's a very short novel; a very fast and engaging read I loved it a lot
Of course Nights of Villjamur is at another level though even that is far future sf disguised as fantasy which is seen even more clearly in the ultra-super sequel that even has spaceships of a sort
I wouldn't touch Good-junk, while there are much better Hobb novels out there
Servant is just a run of the mill fantasy that makes sense if you finished the many more superior offerings out there and have only cereal boxes to read - note that cereal boxes are preferable to Good-junk though
Looks like I'll be reading NoV if the current results are anything to go by - not that I'm complaining!
Shows just a quick glance at a novel can give the wrong impression - Escape from Byzantium will be read regardless methinks.
I still quite fancy Dragon Keeper though...
All four are good reads except the Goodkind one which is a rehash of his first book set in contemporary times. And yes its worse[if that's possible] than his earlier ones.
Anti-TG rook
I also recommend Nights of Villjamur. :)
