Thanks for the run-down!
So many books!
Charles Stross and Nancy Kress are writers I've heard very good things about, but I haven't yet read either. If only February weren't so packed full of books I've got to review... maybe come March, eh?
Really interested to read Cherie Priest's Fathom after Boneshaker last month, whatever that novel's failings.
Still, my most anticipated debut of the month has to be The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. Here's hoping it lives up to the massive buzz!
I'm more than a little taken aback to realise Tome of the Undergates by Sam Sykes, which I'm currently reading, isn't - according to Amazon - due for a release Stateside in February. It's not a perfect book by any means, but it really is quite good; fast-paced, violent, very Joe Abercrombie. Where's the publisher love at?
Tome is a debut that I want to read before publication, but may not actually make it into the schedule :(
Stross is an author that I've only ever read one short story from and never sure where to start with him. I'll get there eventually though!
Geosynchron is another book I will give a go eventually, but once I've read MultiReal. InfoQuake was surprisngly good.
I've also got to get around to The Adamantine Palace at some point....
Wow, lots of great looking SF books coming out. I am especially looking forward to the latest volume of the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. And I really want to track down several of those SF Masterworks volumes.
El Borak is a hoot - glad to see that's back in print.
