Cover Art | The Age of Odin by James Lovegrove (Solaris)

I came across this while browsing upcoming releases on Amazon and thought I'd share it. This is the third in a series that started with The Age of Ra and continued with The Age of Zeus, both books that are sitting on my to-read shelf at home. I like this, mainly because it has stuck with the same format as the previous two books, a factor I think is hugely important when publisher's release series. It's due in early 2011, so a while to wait yet!

The idea was great, but horribly executed. There are so many good books out there--why waste time with one that's not?

Didn't read the second one as the first was so appalling.

I agree with Daniel, pick something else to read, there is little chance it will be worse.

I liked The Age of Ra! Nice story....plenty of action...Egyptian Gods galore!

Age of Ra was a drag to read, but still giving Age of Zeus a shot. Hopefully it will be better. Although I can't really say this is a series, there's no continuity other than the underlying theme of "gods of ____" are real and rule the world...
