What I Read in 2015

In last year’s post I said that I doubted I could read more than I did in 2014, yet I’ve done just that in 2015: 128 books read. Read on for the stats…

The genre breakdown of what I read is pretty much as expected: dominated by science fiction, which account for 73% of my reading. Both fantasy and urban fantasy are equal second place at 9% each, while the remaining 6% is made up of horror, crime, thriller, and mystery. At the end of the day, I’m reading what appeals to me, and I’m more than happy about that. Having the odd change of scenery is nice though!

The male-to-female author ratio percentage was the same again this year, 90:10, and – in all honesty – not surprising.

Only 25% of my reading was from review copies, down 5% from last year. However, reading of current (2015) releases were up 3% to 40%, while re-reads were down 6% to 20%.

At the end of the day, I’m happy with my reading and can’t see me making any massive changes for this coming year. I’ll continue to pick up current releases, but I’m also going to keep on looking at completed series to pick up and blast through.

A full list of what I read in 2015 is below.
